Giving is an important aspect of Christian discipleship. Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35). All believers should pray about their own stewardship of what God has provided. "You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Cheerful givers support the mission and maintenance of the church, from the electricity bill to the salaries to benevolent ministries in Carrizo Springs. And these gifts, given through the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention, spread throughout the world, supporting missionaries, hospitals, hunger relief, disaster response and Christian education.
Our church passes the plate during the service for people who prefer to give by cash or check. For those who'd rather transfer money electronically, giving through our church's online giving portal is an option.
